Brief:
Design a futuristic transmission tower for a music video for Longshanks.
Realisation:
This design of this tower was inspired by the Communications tower in the Olympic park of Barcelona, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava. The mounting construction with steel cables was inspired by the 'spider mount', commonly used in recording studios to supend microphones shockfree.
In image 2, at the right side of the tower a vehicle is parked on the ring platform: the Aerocar.
The Transmission tower and the landscape it's in can also be seen in image 1 at the Spaceplanepage.
The landscape was generated with Terragen 2, the 3D models were made in Lightwave 9.
