Brief:
Create an illustration for "The Bath Song" by Longshanks.
Realisation:
The lyrics for "The Bath Song" were taken from book 1 of "The Lord of the Rings": Tolkien has Peregrin
(Pippin) Took sing on the joys of a hot bath at the end of a long day of travelling.
Longshanks singer Alex had found an image on the internet that fitted the song: "Bathing at Crickhollow" by Ted Nasmith.
Based on the mood of that painting a new image was created. First a 3D model of a bathroom was built in Lightwave. The final render was then edited in Photoshop to add the flames in the hearth.
(left of the hearth, the painting on the wall is "Remember")
